　　Look Within to Find Happiness

　　How often do you hear people say “I will be happy when …”such as “When I get that thing， I will be happy，” “I will be happy when I pass the exam” and “I would be happy if I had more money”。 I have heard these things before and I am sure that I will hear them again。

　　Many people want to believe that finding happiness is all about finding or getting something that they want。 However， not many people have ever found long-term happiness by achieving a goal。 There will always be another thing that they want。 There will always be another exam or another dollar。

　　To break this vicious cycle， we must find our happiness somewhere else —within ourselves。 In other words， happiness is pletely an inside job。 The key to finding happiness is to understand that happiness is a choice rather than the result of an experience。 We have been given everything

　　We need to be happy。 Allow yourself to choose happiness。 If life was perfect， would you be happy? Life is perfect because we create it with our choices。 Since we can create life， we can create happiness and choose how much better our lives can get!

　　Only when we can accept that life is perfect as it is， and that our lives are the sum total of everything that has happened up to this moment， can we accept the joy and the happiness we deserve。

Santa Claus is a kind of old man ,the children are told,lives at the North Pole.He travels through the sky on a sleigh which is pulled by reindeers and loaded with presents.Stopping on the roof of houses,he enters by climbing the chimney.When small children go to bed on Christmas Eve,they hang a stocking at the end of their beds.Their parents warn them not to try to look at Father Christmas,or he will not leave them anything.When they wake,they find their stockings filled with presents.Children are very excited on Christmas morning and always wake up early. Christmas is also a family celebration.As any members of the family as possible gather to eat,play party games and watch the special Christmas programmes on TV.

　　Then, we saw the movie of the terracotta warriors, and we knew that the terracotta warriors were made of mud. The terra-cotta warriors wore their robes, their armour and their boots. The people are the same size, the manner is different, the gesture is thousands, the people are really clever at that time!

　　暑假到了，我和妈妈、爸爸一起到西安参观兵马俑，它是世界第八大奇迹之一。

　　我们先乘火车来到西安。我们首先进入大厅，看到了真正的兵马俑。兵马俑像正在等待命令的'士兵一样排得密密麻麻、整整齐齐，占满了大厅。

　　接着，我们看了制造兵马俑的电影，才知道兵马俑是人们用泥土千辛万苦地制造出来的。兵马俑穿着战袍，披着铠甲，脚穿战靴。一个个跟真人一样大小，神态各异，姿态万千,当时的人们真聪明呀!

Helped by the new railway system, the public postal service made corresponding a popular past time. In England, Sir Henry Cole recognized the advantage of a more efficient mail service and initiated the practice of sending Christmas greeting cards to friends.

　　The first card was designed by J.C.Horsley as a commercial endeavor. One thousand copies were sold in London, and soon others followed suit. An English artist, William Egley, produced a popular card in 1849. Louis Prang, a German born printer, working from his shop in Roxbury, Massachusetts, printed his first American cards in 1875. Even more important than his printing was the fact that he did more than anyone else to popularize the cards by instituting nationwide contests for the best Christmas designs, which were awarded cash prizes.
