The spring festival one of the most important days in Chinese culture. It can be called Chinese new year celebrated the first day of the lunar calendar. The celebrations traditionally run from the evening before the first day to the 15th day of the first calendar month. Even though it is a Chinese traditional festival, people from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and many Asian countries are celebrating.
During this time, people from different parts of China have various customs. For examples: In North part of China, people will have homemade dumpling together and do the firework. In southern China, all family members are sitting together to have a nice dinner with rice. But the standard things that all Chinese would like to do are watching Spring Festival Gala(春晚) and playing firecracker(鞭炮).
Although the ways of celebrating in nowadays is a little different from 30 years before, the spring festival is still the biggest holiday within Chinese. Everyone has the best wishes for the new year!

Opened the curtain of night, the dawn light pours out the bright light, ushered in the golden sun, in the morning to present a wonderful: brand new 20xx, clear blue sky, white as snow clouds, birds merrily singing, the flowers dance with bird song... Chinese New Year! The atmosphere around the Spring Festival! The road is clean, the shops are decorated with lights, each family has a happy couplet, people have a happy smile on their faces. This Spring Festival, I was outside the home.
On New Year's eve, my siblings' hands began to itch, and eagerly bought some guns to release. Put it on, we began to mumble: how can we put the light firecrackers on. So he hurried home, and was about to steal some more, when the grandmother found out: "have you not let off the firecracker? In the evening after all still put!" Ah! The grown-ups are so chattering, we have to give it up. I can only hang out and play.

The twelve o 'clock bell sounded, and we rushed out of the house with firecrackers, into the most exciting moment of the evening. Now the sound of firecrackers is rising and falling, deafening. First of all, I did so well in the final exam that makes my parents very happy. They say that it’s their best gift for the New Year. And we come back our hometown to spend this biggest festival with other relatives. We had a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve. There were about thirty people had the dinner together. It was really great. After dinner, we enjoyed the Spring Festival Gala Evening. On the New Year’s Day, we gathered together to play games or cards. We children got lucky money from adults. This was the most exciting thing for us. On the following days, we visited to each other, bringing our best wishes.
