　　In our current society, we can’t be more familiar with the phrase ----the low carbon economy. We all take it for granted due to the fact the concept of low carbon economy enjoys a higher and higher popularity in our daily life, especially after today’s speech contestJ .But how can we achieve the goal of low carbon economy?

　　While some hold the opinion that it is a matter of the government or it is the business of some big enterprises or companies, and it has nothing to do with us. However, to achieve the aim of low carbon economy, the efforts of governments or enterprises is far from enough. Low carbon economy can’t go further without low carbon life styles. They are going side by side with each other.

　　So what’s low carbon life style?

　　Let’s look back on our daily life. Every morning as soon as you open your eyes, are you used to turn on the lights immediately when the room is bright enough as long as you draw the window curtains apart? Is that your habit that when you are brushing your teeth you leave the water tap running on? Are you accustomed to setting the temperature of the air conditioner in your office below 26 degrees Celsius? In general, A low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspects of our modern life, such as cooking, transportation, home heating, and holiday travel, which can be conducted in a way that gives the maximum reduction of personal carbon emissions. It is a life with low energy, low consumption, low expenses.

　　Nowadays, in our country, a newly emerging generation----- “low carbon generation” in the metropolis has set a good example for us. Traditional clockwork alarm has regained their preference instead of electronic alarm clock; they make sure to turn off the electric equipments like computers or lights after use; they try their clothes under the sunshine while avoiding tumble dryers; what’s more, they jog in the park nearby to replace the 30-min exercise on the electric treadmill; Paper cups will no longer be held in our hands and so on. The “low carbon generation” are taking immediate actions in every details of their life to demonstrate that low carbon economy is not the responsibility of governments or companies, but our duty as individuals. But his teaching result is much lessthan that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. Whenlecturing， the teacher only repeated what the text-books says， which was verydull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching wasshort of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we knowa few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. Thereason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from bookswith pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in everyexam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’tyou think it waste training such persons for the country?

　　To sum up from the above， I can say marks are not absolutely authoritativefor some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability andcompetence and if we only seek for the high marks， we will be absolutely wrong.We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. 　　As we know, nearly 75% of the Earth surface is covered with water, But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water or salt water. Man can only drink and use the rest 3%, but most of it has been polluted.

　　There are more than 400 cities poor with water in China. Millions of people don’t have enough water for drinking, many of them die because of lack of water . There are many big factories in China. They put the dirty and poisonous water in the river, such as the Yellow River, the Chang Jiang River, the Yangtze River and so on. It pollutes the river and makes people have many strange diseases. Many people don’t know how important the water is. They often think: I pay for the water I used, it’s none of others business. How foolish and how selfish the thought is. They don’t turn off the tap when they finish washing their hands in the public toilet because the water is free-paying. Most of the students in the university use big basins of water to wash fruits . Because they have paid a lot for the room fee. Some of the middle school students use the water for drinking to play jokes on others just for fun. But who has thought about our life in the future? Who has thought about the people without water? Who has thought about the future of the world?

　　Why don’t people know how to save it until we have lost it? Why don’t people know how important the water is until the last drop of water becomes our tears? Let’s save the water, for you, for me , for the future.

　　Reuse the water which you wash the fruits to clean the toilets. Reuse the water which you wash your face to clean the floor and furniture. Reuse the water which you wash the rice to water the flowers. I think it’s the good way to save water. It not only saves water but also saves money.

　　The water is just like our blood. To save water is to save our lives. Let’s keep every drop of water, for the people who don’t have enough water for drinking, for ourselves, for our children and children’s children。

We taught the kids there who could not afford school, I was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, The precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us--future teachers. 　　国际红十字会将每年九月的第二个星期六定为“世界急救日”。电梯事故、动车事故、溺水、烫伤等意外的发生是不确定的，当这些发生在你身边时。你会应急逃生和救护吗？据了解，近年来我国自然灾害频发，突发事件和安全生产形势严峻。但公众应急救护知识普及率仅有1%。同学们要掌握一些自救互救的知识。

　　（一）烧伤烫伤

　　据了解，夏季里，外伤和烧烫伤的小患者都比其他季节要多。万一孩子放暑假时一个人在家被烫着了应该怎么办？下面给您介绍了一些处理烧烫伤的小常识。

　　由热油、热水等造成的小面积烫伤如未造成皮肤裂伤，应立即脱离热源，并用冷水冲或用冰块、冷毛巾冷敷20分钟左右，这样既可以减轻疼痛，又可降低损伤程度。在烫伤两小时内，最好不要将油性外用药涂在伤口上，以免阻止热量散发。尤其要注意的是，如果表皮起泡，千万不要将泡弄破，以免造成伤口恶化或感染。刘主任还指出，人们烫伤后，习惯将牙膏、大酱或酱油抹在伤处，岂不知这样不但不会减轻症状，而且阻止了热量散发，会使症状加重。一旦烧烫伤引起皮肤破裂或伤到眼睛，孩子应立即与家长取得联系，及时到烧伤专科就医。

　　家长平时还应教育孩子，万一遇到轻微外伤，造成少量流血的，应该首先用流水冲洗伤口，再使用一些外用消炎药，如果外伤严重，流血较多，则应立即到医院就诊。

　　预防家庭烧烫伤小贴士：

　　1家中暖壶等高温容器放在高处或孩子不易碰到之处

　　2在厨房做饭时，人不离开或关上门，以防止孩子突然闯入

　　3做饭时，将热壶把手尽量朝向炉灶后壁，使孩子不易碰到

　　4点火用具，如打火机、火柴放在孩子不易取到之处

　　5煤气不用时关掉总开关，以防孩子模仿点火

　　6孩子不在周围或厨房时，再从微波炉中取出食物

　　7盛有热食物的热容器，如电饭煲等，不放在地上和低处

　　8电器插座放置高处或加盖，检查暴露在外的电线是否有破损或有明显暴露

　　9用微波炉加热的婴儿食品或奶类，取出后要摇匀并冷却片刻

　　10教育孩子不要碰浴缸的水龙头，洗澡时，尽量让孩子远离热水源

　　（二）煤气泄露

　　煤气使用不当，会引发非常严重的事故。对于暑假独自在家的孩子，家长更应该对煤气的安全使用加强教育。应告诉孩子，在用煤气热饭热菜的时候，不要走远，更不要热上饭菜又去做别的事，因为这样容易忘了正在热饭菜，一旦火被风吹灭或被水扑灭，漏出的煤气就会造成中毒或引起火灾。用完煤气之后，要仔细检查阀门是否关好，关好阀门之后，不要再随意开关。另外，家长要事先检查煤气管道是否严密，尤其是注意靠近炉灶的软管是否脱落。

　　（三）火灾自救

　　暑假期间，由于天气炎热干燥，容易引起火灾。假期开始后，家长一定要告诫孩子，独自一人在家时，千万不要玩火。不能划火柴，更不能摆弄打火机玩。一旦发生火灾，孩子自己没有能力扑救，千万不要惊慌，要拨打119报警，然后想办法逃离出去。不要自己逞强救火。如果烟雾呛人，要用湿毛巾捂住嘴，逃离现场。需要注意的是，如果居住在高层建筑里，千万不要选择跳窗户的办法逃生，要尽量打开门逃生。如果打不开门了，要在窗口挥动白色毛巾或衣物大声呼叫，等待消防人员营救。

　　（四）游泳安全

　　通过对少年儿童意外事件进行对比后发现，溺水成为这些意外事件中的“头号杀手”。一些孩子贪图方便，直接到河沟、鱼池里去洗澡，还有一些孩子把河沟、鱼池等当成天然的游泳池。因为身边没有大人照看，再加上泳技不佳、安全意识差，在意外发生后，又不懂得如何自救，结果酿成悲剧。所以，同学们无论在游泳池或者海边等地方游泳，一定要有家长陪同。不会游泳的同学不要独自下水，会游泳的同学也不能因为逞能而去深水区或水位很深的地方，以免危险。到公园或野外玩的同学，也要注意，不能去河沟、水库等地方游泳。这些地方不是正规的游泳池，没有完善的保护设备，也没有救生员。而且，水底情况也清楚，在这样的地方游泳非常危险。暑假期间游泳一定要到正规的游泳池并有家长或老师陪同，无论水性好坏都要慎防溺水。

　　许多家长出于保护孩子的心理，不忍心让他们知道死亡的可怕,这是不对的，父母应让孩子知道死亡的概念，并教育他们懂得珍惜生命。低年级的学生很容易对家中的一些金属用具如剪刀、小刀、锯子、缝衣针等发生兴趣，家长应教会孩子某些工具的正确使用方法，同时告知他们危害在哪里，哪些工具是不允许小孩使用的；某些动画片中人打不死摔不死的场景也容易给孩子造成错觉，淡化对死亡的恐怖感，家长要适时地告诉孩子这是虚构的，不可以模仿。

　　（一）溺水现场急救：溺水现场急救至关重要，应争分夺秒。1、迅速让溺水者脱离溺水现场；2、清除口、鼻异物，保持呼吸畅通；3、溺水者头低位拍打背部，使进入呼吸道和肺中的水流出（注意时间不要长）；4、如有呼吸抑制，迅速行人工呼吸；5、如有心跳停止，立即行胸外心脏挤压；6、换上干的衣服、注意保暖；7、尽快转送医院。夏季多雨水，下雨时不要去危旧房屋、残垣断壁、空旷野外、大树底下、高压电线和变压器旁、沟底或河边避雨，可以在山洞暂时躲避；也不要去河道游泳。

　　（二）触电现场急救：1、切断总电源。如电源总开关在附近，则迅速切断电源，否则采取下一步措施。2、脱离电源。用绝缘物（木质、塑料、橡胶制品、书本、皮带、棉麻、瓷器等）迅速将电线、电器与伤员分离。要防止相继触电。3、心肺复苏。心跳、呼吸停止者立即行心肺复苏。4、包扎电烧伤伤口。5、速送医院。

　　（三）交通伤现场急救：1、正确判断伤情和受伤部位；2、注意正确的搬动伤员方法，保护脊柱和骨折肢体；3、按先救命，后救伤的原则，先心肺复苏，后处理受伤部位；4、迅速止血，包扎伤口，固定骨折；5、尽快转送医院。

　　（四）火灾现场急救：1、立即脱离险境，但不能带火奔跑，这样不利于灭火，并加重呼吸道烧伤。2、带火者迅速卧倒，就地打滚灭火或用水灭火，也可用棉被、大衣等覆盖灭火。3、冷却受伤部位，用冷自来水冲洗伤肢冷却烧伤处。4、脱掉伤处的手表、戒指、衣物。5、消毒敷料（或清洗毛巾、床单等）覆盖伤处。6、勿刺破水泡，伤处勿涂药膏，勿粘贴受伤皮肤。7、口渴严重时可饮盐水，以减少皮肤渗出，有利于预防休克。8、迅速转送医院。

　　家长有必要在家中明显位置将各类求助电话粘贴明示：

　　如120（急救电话）、119（火警电话）、110（匪警电话）、114（查询电话），并且将各类求助、报警电话的作用详细说明；让孩子背熟家长、亲戚、属地居委会的电话、地址，一旦遇到困难，就可以快速求助。

　　I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.

　　I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them.

　　Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life.

　　Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.

　　Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass.
